Anya Taylor-Joy is Not a Fan of Casual Dating

The Queen’s Gambit star gives a sneak peek of her love life journey in the latest cover for British Vogue, April 2022.

Anya Taylor-Joy recently shared her not-so-great heartbreak experience during an interview with British Vogue. Shocking, remembering this gorgeous actress has so many awesome men in line to get her. Anya recalls how she was never good at dating, jumping from a guy to another guy after every end of her relationships. 

“I hear stories from my friends and I’m like, ‘God, I would suck at that.'” Anya said.

In her past, when she was still chasing the ideal concept of love, she revealed that she gets inspired by the character Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and The City, played by Sarah Jessica Parker. For a little backstory moment, One time, she even had a chance to meet with the star and she expressed how the character Carrie Bradshaw grew on her.

“‘I need you to know that I’m watching you and Big and it’s giving me hope,'” she explained.

However, the situation turned out to be some kind of joke since the character Carrie Bradshaw didn’t help her relationship run smoothly. Parker even apologized on the behalf of Carrie Bradshaw that her story didn’t apply to Anya’s story.

Recently, Anya seems happy and successful on the dating front. The 25 year-old actress has been reportedly dating Malcolm McRae, the rock band More member, and making it official on an Instagram post back in October 2021.

Opening up about her loving relationship with McRae, Anya feels that he’s the one she has been searching for this whole time.

“I’ve finally found someone who will happily sit in silence with me reading. We’re basically 80 years old and seven at the same time and it works really well.”, she said with admiration.

The British couple are now living a long distance relationship moment since Anya spends most of her time in the U.S. due to her job on filming various projects. Nevertheless, the couple sees the distance as something that’s strengthening their bond. It gives them a whole new perspective about appreciating the togetherness when they spend time together.

“Everyday mundane activities are so full of joy. I love going to the petrol station with him and filling up the car and going to get breakfast.”
